A Special Visitor: Jazz Pianist Francesco Crosara

This week, we had a very special visitor grace our showroom: Mr. Francesco Crosara. My wife, Angela, and I first met Francesco a few weeks ago at a fundraiser for the Music Discovery Center. He and I talked music and I invited him into our showroom to listen to his most recent CD release. Francesco was so taken by the sound in our listening room he ended up buying a beautiful pair of Focal speakers and Marantz turntable for his listening room.

I was was pretty taken myself. I was surprised by not only the technical quality of the recording, but the music is incredible. Francesco, if you haven’t heard him, is one of the best jazz pianists/composers of our time and just happens to live in our area.

We will soon have this recording available in our store for sale. All proceeds from its sale will be generously donated to the Music Discovery Center, which is dedicated to helping kids who lack the means to acquire musical instruments, providing them with essential support in learning to play and compose.

This foundation is a great group of folks who donate their time and energy to this cause and we at Nuts About Hi-Fi are honored to help.

Aesthetix founder in High-End-Audio Hall of Fame

A Wonderful Evening of Listening – Thank You, Everyone

It truly takes a village to make music come alive, and we are so grateful to everyone who attended our Nuts About Hi-Fi Listening Party.

A special thank you to Jim White and Brent Henley from Aesthetix for demonstrating your truly amazing audio components. We also want to thank Amy Hansen from Nordost for her expertise in making these listening parties fun, engaging, and informative, not to mention her talent for putting together some pretty amazing playlists.

Sanjay and Chris from Focal Naim, Dan McMillan from JL Audio, Sam Baum from Marantz, and Walter Bell from Mountain West Distributors, you are all the best home audio ambassadors we could possibly ask for.

The artwork from Cory Anderson and the food from Kevin at the Yacht Club Broiler also helped make this event a fun success.

Most importantly, I want to thank all of our wonderful customers for attending, for understanding how important music is in life, and for allowing us to help you enjoy it.

Blasts from the Past

Our extremely busy Summer “TRADE-IN & TRADE-UP EVENT” has brought back some old friends we haven’t played with in years. A good example are these Wilson Audio Watt/Puppy speakers we originally installed for one of our favorite customers about 20 years ago. Pete recently decided to upgrade to a beautiful pair of Focal Utopias, which by the way look and sound amazing in his room. As many of you know, Wilson Audio Watt/ Puppies were an industry icon back in the day. Over the years we probably installed over 50 pairs of these beauties. Justyn gave this pair some restoration love and they are sounding great and back on the market. We’ve also taken in some very nice pre-owned electronics that we are offering at some great prices too.
