Stella at the High End Show

The world debut of Stella Utopia EM at the High End show in Munich.

I had the opportunity to sit and listen to the Stella Utopia EM a few different times this weekend, and it may be my favorite version of Focal's Series III Utopia speaker.  The low frequency impact of the 13" EM driver is very similar to that of its grown-up Grande Utopia brother. 

This speaker offers a scaled-down version of Utopia EM for listeners whose rooms may not accommodate the size of Grande Utopia; but still want the fast, accurate, and dynamic performance achieved by the EM driver system. 

The back panel of the Stella EM offers four fine-tuning adjustments for slope roll off in the bass, midrange, and tweeter (two adjustments) sections.  The EM power supply also offers three positions of adjustment.  The cranking time-alignment system has been removed.  As with the Grande Utopia, the Stella offers bi-amp ready WBT binding posts
